All thanks for coming; it was a great time despite the weather. We tried the
video feed with no luck; the internet connection was pretty bad. For those
that didn't make it, we missed you. I have more photos posted on my Facebook
page.
See you next year!

Pieters,
So pleased to read Brodhead was as usual a big success. Now that it is
behind us may I ask the list a few stupid questions and hopefully receive a few
intelligent answers and/or suggestions.
I am presently building Pietenpol wingribs. Before I build a set for my
next I want the pro and cons of these Riblett airfoil wings. I would be
hopeful that it might be after the roundout a little float as with a 7AC instead
of the Pietenpol brick.

Douse,
We have not yet met, but I sure admire the artistry of your plane and photography!
Thanks for all your contributions. Your artistry speaks for itself, no words
required.
I think I have a greater appreciation for your skills because for me "Ars difusa
est"!
Thanks,

Douwe,
Douwe, my iPad spelled your name incorrectly last time I sent you a note! Of course,
as the PIC running the iPad, I should have caught it!
In one of your pictures, your wing appeared to be at least a little translucent.
What paint did you use to get this result? Are you the one who used a clear
latex with the UV inhibitor and a yellowish tint? Or is this a secret formula?
Hope you will share.
Thanks,
Ray Krause

I knew I had seen this plane before! Simon and his lovely bride came to Brodhead
all the way from Tazmania. And a fine bloke is he! No, they didn't fly their
Piet. But they did show us pictures and I knew it looked familiar. Mike Cuy was
the perfect Pietenpol ambassador as usual. Enjoy Oshkosh Simon!

I probably should show a pic of some of the old timers too. Mike Cuy, Larry Williams,
Dan Helsper and Shad Bell. For the second year in a row Dan gets the award
for giving the most rides. In spite of the less than perfect weather, it seemed
Dan was up there all the time.
