Nice review! Wanted to see it at Oshkosh, but it conflicted with a concert I also
wanted to see, and figured it might be better in a theater anyway.
Next question would be whether or not it's "quotable", does it have possible cult
status in time?

That stuff is tenacious... it's been sticking to the little plastic protectors
on my squeeze clamps (the orange jorgensen's).
I was thinking of using wax, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Of course,
that might cause problems with varnishing later...
The jig I built has recesses, so the glued joints don't touch the jig. Only built
one rib on it so far, but it worked well.

What about waxing the jig, Dan? I don't think that the T88 could/would stick to
Minwax. Tools might chime in on this one.

There was an Aircamper (G-BUXK) that flew with a Wilksch Airmotive WAM-100 diesel
engine a few years ago.

Here's a link that has a South African Piet powered by a Toyota Turbo deisel (about
half way down the page):

Regarding the 50 hp Continental, C-FAUK was originally powered by one, and later
changed to an A-65.
Mine will be powered by a C-75 (someday), which is a different engine than the
A-75. I'm sure that engine has been used before.

That Kinner is presently in Victoria on Vancouver Island.
The owner has the intention of using it for a replica Pitcairn autogyro. I
haven't seen him for a while. He built a model B
Piet but has changed to an O-200 that he acquired for
" a very good price ". I haven't seen Charlie's Piet for some
time either. There's another one floating around the
Vancouver area from one guy to another that I'd seen a
few years ago " in restoration" It had been re-engineered
somewhat, as they say. :-)
Attached are two pics of the Victoria Piet taken some years
ago when he was just into taxi testing. In the second pic
we see his efforts getting in. What's missing here?? :-)
Also what about Jim Malley's Fiest Piet?
