As part of the decision process I have drug steps and stools of various heights up to the side of the plane and have decided that a step added to the seat area is about the right height. You might play with various heights as well. From: "taildrags" 100 MPH seems a little bit low for a top end. I think mine goes up to 120 MPH. I realize that most Piets have a marked Vne in the 90s, but some of the Corvair powered Piets claim that they cruise in the yellow and have Vnes in the triple digits.
