Ray, I might be able to help you out. I have a bunch of spare "things" in stock
left over from years of building and scrounging. What do you need?

I'm about to make a leather helmet and goggles purchase and would like to exploit
the vast knowledge that the members of this list have. I have David Clark headsets
and would like to use them. There are so many choices out there. What
seems to be the best combination?
I've been lurking but now would like to join in on the fun.
I bought a project. I have rebuilt the model A engine and hope to cover in another
month or so. Looking forward to flying to Brodhead next year.
Thanks in advance

As far as helmets go I have a leather helmet from Popsleather.com. It fits my David
Clark's just fine. They custom make them to your specs. They ask for measurements
and then make the helmet to fit. I like the way it came out. It
seems like it was $55 or something in that ball park.

Subject: | Re: Turnbuckles for sale? |
Oscar, Michael, Douwe,
Do Piet builders ordinarily use turnbuckles on the stabilizers, or just cut the
cable to fit and twist the cable to tension it? I was planning on using the short
6-40 thread turnbuckles there, but maybe it is not necessary? One could MAYBE
avoid some drag, weight and airflow disruption by using just the cable?
I will still need six more of the 10-32 thread 4.5" long barrels (AN 155-16S) each
with cable ends (AN140 assembly) or one cable end and one pin eye end (AN135
assembly).
There is no real hurry on these, I probably will not need them until I do the pre-covering
rigging in maybe mid January.
Thanks for your help.

but they may be too small for what you need. Get with me off-list to let me know
how many you need and what size/configuration.
