Hello Douwe - you are fortunate that you can use T88, or the glue of your choice. Here in the UK, we can use Aerolite 306 (UREA-FORMALDEHYDE POLYMER) or Aerodux (Liquid phenol-resorcinol resin adhesive). These are the only 2 approved for wood construction. Once you get the hang of them, they work well. Aerodux is messy (I have not learned how to keep it tidy) and shows how messy you are in the finished product. You do need to keep joints reasonably tight, but what is the harm in that? So T-88 is the glue of choice in North America, but certainly not here and there are a lot of wooden designs built in the UK. And there is no sign of the approval of other wood glues any time soon. I'm not arguing, just saying that it is not the same everywhere. My 2 pence....... Mark Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=415474#415474

For those in DFW area of operations, there's an open house/sale at air salvage in Lancaster Saturday. C85 off of a C-140 there...20% off. Might be a worthy motor for a local Piet builder. Just passing that along... http://www.asod.com/engines.html -------- KLNC A65-8 N2308C AN Hardware Airframe 724TT W72CK-42 Sensenich Standard Factory GN-1 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=415482#415482
