I actually do not have any pictures of the finished product...yet. I will take a few next time the propeller is off the plane and post them. I'll post a few that I do have with it in-work when I get the time. Stand by... If God is your co-pilot...switch seats. Michael Perez Pietenpol HINT Videos Karetaker Aero www.karetakeraero.com

Raymond, I just re-finished and balanced my prop. I used acetone on stainless steel wool to remove the finish. I used polyurethane for the finish and it is holding up real good. No chipping or peeling at all. I sanded some but not a lot. Sanded the heavy blade more and added extra poly to it to get the balance right. Not what you were asking for but for what it's worth.............. Jay Anderson at CloudCars is a great guy to deal with. I called him to see how to strip the finish and he said "send it back to me and I will re-finish it free of charge". That is what I call product support! Attached are two pictures showing the rough propeller in work. The first shows the scalloped area on the prop. not yet stained. As I mentioned, I only did enough sanding to remove oils so that the stain would take. The second shows the visible scallops with stain. You may also note the fiberglass "field" area being somewhat rough, (the bright area on the black paint)...minimal sanding on the fields as well. If God is your co-pilot...switch seats. Thank you Scott. I'll get a few finished pictures, with better close up shots of the scallops/fields when I can. If God is your co-pilot...switch seats. Michael Perez Pietenpol HINT Videos Karetaker Aero www.karetakeraero.com
