find and are NOT inexpensive. I have a used Matco T6 in good condition that
I can put on it but I thought I'd ask if anyone has pros or cons on it

I have an area in my barn that has a wood stove in it. I hang tarps from the balcony
above it to partition in off in the winter. With the stove I can bring
the shop up to 60 or even 70 when I need to on a reasonable winter day.
When gluing, I will put my T-88 bottles in some warm water so the glue will flow.
It didn't work this morning......-10 on the thermometer.

I noticed your trim tab on the elevator in your picture of your tail
wheel....could you post a few more pictures of it and a brief
explanation on how you have it set up?

Back when I was crewing tankers in the Air Force, I observed the results of a too
short approach one time. My plane had a drogue installed on the boom, 8 feet
of hose and a basket for those Navy planes. After landing the crew ran back
and looked at 8 feet of mangled hose and no basket. The supervisor of flying
drove up with a mangled basket in the back of his pickup and said " Look what
we found in the approach lights, guys."

John,
I put my T88 in the microwave to thaw it. Works good. If you don't have electricity
in your hangar I guess you could put it under your armpit for awhile. :)

Hi guys, I'm running into a problem with my center section steel
fittings. The plans show the control cable pulley housing bolt to go
right where the compression strut is on the other side. So I decided to
lengthen the pulley housing and swing it over onto the spar fitting and
bolt it along with the AN4 bolt there. Well that makes the pulley bolt
hit the spar fitting....Know what I mean? What did everybody do there?
Thanks

As best as I recall, the tab is approx. 6"x4" riveted to piano hinge and screwed
to elavator with stainless screws controlled by a simple push/pull cable. Broke
off the plastic knob and threaded the swagged end for 10/32. Used a turnbuckle
for adjustment with an aluminum knob press fitted over the barrel.
Precise adjustment with no drift.
Hope this helps

Hi Charles,
Good to hear you're progressing. I recall a discussion about this from a few years
ago. One solution is to use a Tee-nut at the location where the compression
strut lands. See the photo of Jim Markle's installation here:
http://www.westcoastpiet.com/images/Jim%20Markle/images/CntrSct2003_0405_202952AA.JPG
I've also attached a copy of the photo with the area in question circled.
You can get tee-nuts at Home Depot.
Hope that helps.

John; your T88 bottles look sort of like mine, but I think I have you beat all
of the label writing is gone from mine. I guess I need to get some new stuff,
but I hate to throw out perfectly good epoxy. It seems to bond as good as it
always did. Also, I can attest to the microwave trick being very effective in
getting it to flow. However, take care not to over-beep the clear stuff it
gets runny very easily and that makes it very difficult to proportion if you do
it by eye, like I do.

I did the same, but put the nut in the notch. If you try to put the bolt
head there, you'll have to install the bolt before everything gets glued
together. Ken

Another way to get the glue liquid enough to mix is to put the bottles in a
sauce pan about half full of water. Then bring the water to a boil on a
propane mushroom-style heater. It works great on the epoxy (you won't
overheat the clear stuff) and it will help warm up your hangar or work
area. You might find yourself heating epoxy whenever the weather turns
cold. Just 'cause.
