I basically had an old A-65 case bolted to the motormount, with the carb and airbox/filter attached. I made a rough outline with lath wire and formers around that, then coated it with multiple layers of drywall mud until the shape was what I wanted. I really wanted a smooth transition around the aircleaner, and a curved top. It was a two month project, but it turned out pretty nice and is lightweight, attached to the firewall only.
