One problem he mentioned that I wanted to pass along is a lack of content for the magazine. He says we have over 600 members, but few people are sending things in. I know we have some good writers out there and many average writers and all are encouraged to spend some time writing something up and sending it in. Could be anything Pietenpol related, long or short. Cool photos are needed too. Construction updates, piet trips, incidents funny or serious, first flights, new completions, lessons learned, building techniques etc it's all great. Over the years when I've had an idea for an article, I just work on it for a few weeks and sent it in to Doc and he'd just use it whenever he needed something and a few times he chose not to use it for various reasons which I'm fine with. Please help out and support our "type club" not only with your memberships but efforts!! I've positioned the ribs according to the original 29 ft wing plan, but when I refer to the 3 piece wing supplement, I notice there seems to be a rib located 8 1/4" from the butt rib on the wing (next to the center section). That leaves the gap to the next rib approximately 5". Am I missing something? Should I reposition the next rib to split the difference? I didn't and it was a pain altering the ribs to clear the wires.
