OK, I agree with Jack except on one fine point. I put my ribs in loose and
spaced them approximately where they were supposed to go. I then used
mason's cord to run where the drag and anti-drag wires were to go and
spaced the ribs so that they cleared the cords. I glued the ribs in place
at this point, took the cords out and then put in the compression struts,
and then the drag wires -- minor difference. Chuck

Agreed Chuck, with one note. I did what you described. My mistake was try
ing to approximate the connection location. Should have the tab connections
       installed...

      Hey all,

I asked this a while ago with no response. I need a good simple stand-alone
      intercom, any suggestions?

      Thanks,

I have seen Ray's SkyScout project. 'Cobbing' together a SkyScout to him is
probably similar to this Waiex that he 'cobbed' together...

Arrgh, I forget brand. Will go To hangar today, take pic of install. I was
considering replacing it until I bought leather mic muff covers. Huge
difference if you don't install PTTs & stay with vox.

Jack; this is the best shot you will ever get at thoroughly, completely, and smoothly
getting all that wood varnished so as much work as it is, if you don't
take your time and do it while you have a nice bare frame, you'll regret it later
because the only way you'll be able to reach some of those areas, it will
just be loading a brush and dabbing some varnish way back in an inaccessible spot.

And yes, there is something to be admired in the rich honey gold of a smooth wooden
assembly with a nice coat of varnish on it.

Flightcomm IIxs. Slide upward a quarter inch, lift off back plate which is
screwed to fuselage (2 wood screws) to replace 9v battery. From that
location, any headset's cord easily reaches front passenger.
