This does not change anything you said, but to be correct, one board at 2" (or
8/4) X 6" X 20' is 20 board feet, so 2 boards would be 40 board feet.

By the way, somewhat rare, mccormicks has 5/4 spruce, which yields one inch quite
efficiently. If you're getting custom sawed, might want to consider that.

A few of us are using extruded aluminum spars. I am using the FC-10 standard piet
wing design. I purchased item 4-A from Carlson Aircraft. Terry Hand built
Ribblet so his spars are a little taller than mine and he is a tad ahead of
me.
