      Douwe,

How was the fly-in? I'll bet it was great. You guys in the east seem to have
more grass roots fly-ins than we do on the west coast. I sure wish I could attend
those. It's just not close enough for me.

      Cheers,

Maybe all those nice, green grass strips has something to do with that?

Starting on covering the wings. The workshop gave birth to the fuselage last
       Monday. Making progress.

Thanks, I will make it a point to let you know when it takes to the air. The fellow
who bought Bill Rewey's Piet (NX17WR) has it at a private airport just south
of Chico Ranchero Airport (CL56). That airport is named "Johnsen". Problem
is, I have the new owner's name! Must be "Johnsen" , or something! It is a grass
strip, has a fishing lake, amphib/float landing strip, BBQ and picnic area.
He has offered it for a Piet flyin and family picnic/fishing day whenever we
want. He has a float (amphib?) plane and must be quite the pilot. He's a big
almond grower in Chico. Maybe we should plan a Piet flyin there this fall? He
said he would supply the BBQ?

How could we go wrong? Maybe Piets and older planes?
