Nice engine, and I must admit that I'm a sucker for a fine piece of machinery. However, an article about that engine on Flying Magazine's website says the engine is expected to go for $25,000 in the end user market. I'll sell you my complete and flying Air Camper with Continental A75 engine, plus a year's worth of oil and avgas, for HALF of what that new diesel engine is expected to cost when it's available. If it's ever available. -------- Oscar Zuniga Medford, OR Air Camper NX41CC "Scout" A75 power Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=448269#448269

I thought that the twin crank/opposing piston design was new and innovative when I first saw it at Oshkosh. That is until I toured that WW II US submarine parked at the San Fran pier while on a business trip and talked to a guide who used to serve on them. They used two huge twin crank opposing piston diesel engines turning generators (like a locomotive), and he said many 30s cargo ships used them too.
