The list sure is slow lately. A couple of days with zero posts. Maybe I'll try
breaking the ice (pun intended) by posting a picture of the Rogue Air Parts
outdoor tail hinge factory after a fast, heavy, and very wet snowfall. Everything
under the mess seems to still be intact under there, but it may be a while
before I can get dug out and get my canopy frame and cover replaced. In previous
snows I've just gone out in the morning and bumped the underside of the
canopy with the push broom to get the buildup to slide off, but this time it was
heavy and sticky and it brought down the house before I could get out there
in the morning to unload it. As you can see in the picture, it's a very light
tubular structure, this is its second replacement canopy (the UV is very hard
on things here), and I had already replaced the uprights with wooden posts set
in 5 gal buckets full of rock because the wind kept lifting the thing. No
surprise that it couldn't handle 4 or 5 inches of wet snow ;o) I just need an
enclosed, permanent shop but our building restrictions won't permit it.
