Max load on mine is 1200 lbs. Again it is set by the builder. My understanding not having flown mine is that some guys have had success with two pretty big guys on cool days. BTW I am gearing up for a push on my restoration of NX3379. I have bought a home and hangar at TE86. I am moving everything over with a trailer from 8T8. It is a one hour drive straight across San Antonio. Longer if the trailer is loaded and longer if it is rush hour. Up to two hours. Yesterday I moved 5 big lockers and now I think I have room to shove my Vtail into a corner and put the wings on the Pietenpol. I will be using Gojacks on the Bonanza that jack the plane up by the wheel and you can move or spin it 360 degrees. Once the Condition Inspection is done I will do At least 5 hours of flying near 8T8 to prove to myself It is reliable. Then I will fly 5 more hours before taking anyone up. When it it reliable, I plan to commute the 36 NM (41SM to you Oscar!) between 8T8 and TE86 to work on my Vtail. I may have to divert around The SAT airspace and Randolph AFB airspace so it could be up to 70 SM or more. Gee, Not much faster than driving. But I can do it during rush hour and enjoy myself! Keep prodding me on working on it. The end of this month I will be getting Rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder and that will ground me for 6 weeks. So I have a short term time limit. From: "tools" Hey Steve, Couldn't you put the throttle on the stick with a twist grip? Then do everything with your left hand? It would be, ahem, kinda like someone else was flying! Good luck with your surgery.
