Hi Piet folks,
Today is the first day of Sun n Fun. For anyone who plans to come down or is already
here.
Stop in the Hands on Wood working Workshop. There is always a lot of Pietenpol
talk going on. This year we assembling Dave Aldrich's VP-II fuselage. There will
be Piet ribs and Ben Charvet's Boredom fighter ribs being built.
Except for a slight chance of rain Thursday the WX looks great.

Sorry I am going to miss it and Oshkosh this year. I sometimes regret taking a
voluntary US travel ban this year. Enjoy

Subject: | Torque tube bushing |
I had been thinking the 7/8" torque tube (.035) would fit snuggly in a 1" bushing
(.058) and that bushing would be welded to a bracket assembly which is secured
to the floor.
The plans, however, on the upper left area of sheet 4 show a collar is brazed to
the torque tube.
Is the torque tube supposed to rotate in a bushing/collar; or is the torque tube
brazed to the bushing/collar and that part rotates in the bracket?
Thank you,
John C
(I did search the forum and looked at numerous photos, but nothing helps).

The boards rest on the longerons. Don't forget there's a 1/8" sheet of plywood
on each side.
