A fresh airworthiness certificate has been handed to me. After a couple days
of stressing out , printing out temporary placards and sticking them in place
to be replaced later with more acceptable etched placards. Many things I checked
and tweaked, and safety wired , and in the end my DAR hardly looked at
the plane. Maybe it was professional courtesy since I too am an I A , but
I don't know. He was a nice guy and had a lot of paper work to do so we went
into the office and he plugged up his laptop and that was that. I found the
most difficult thing about the inspection was writing the check , Wow Anyway
it is over and now I can simply fly and work on this projet to improve it as
I have been. I took a flight yesterday and it was much improved with the new
66/30 prop. The new aluminum high compression head is on its way from Australia
and I believe it will be the true game changer .
