I'm pretty sure that's what is on my airplane, although I can't find any photos that show that. The photos that I have of Ernie Moreno's airplane sure do look like AN3s holding down those brackets. As I say, there isn't a lot of load on that particular part. The tricky part is securing the bolt head to the underside of the floor, if you do them the way the plans call for. The photo of Ernie's airplane seems to indicate that his uses nutplates under the floor so the bolts go in from the cockpit side (top): http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/control01.jpg -------- Oscar Zuniga Medford, OR Air Camper NX41CC "Scout" A75 power, 72x36 Culver prop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469094#469094 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:04:00 PM PST US From: Chris Tracy Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Bolts for torque tube I used AN4 bolts Chris=C2-Sacramento, CA Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Sun, May 7, 2017 at 8:51 PM, taildrags wrote: John; I was surprised to not find those called out on the plans, but I can't imag ine that anything more than AN3s would be required there.=C2- I'm pretty sure that's what is on my airplane, although I can't find any photos that s how that.=C2- The photos that I have of Ernie Moreno's airplane sure do l ook like AN3s holding down those brackets.=C2- As I say, there isn't a lo t of load on that particular part.=C2- The tricky part is securing the bo lt head to the underside of the floor, if you do them the way the plans cal l for.=C2- The photo of Ernie's airplane seems to indicate that his uses nutplates under the floor so the bolts go in from the cockpit side (top): http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/control01.jpg -------- Oscar Zuniga Medford, OR Air Camper NX41CC "Scout" A75 power, 72x36 Culver prop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=469094#469094 S - WIKI - - =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- =C2- -Matt Dralle, List Admin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message pietenpol-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Pietenpol-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/pietenpol-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/pietenpol-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
