The subject of turnbuckles and their cost is not new to this site. But Im gonna
bring it up once again. I think I found a way to eliminate the turnbuckles on
the drag and antidrag wires in the wings. If you look at the pictures of my experiment
below you can see that I simpy doubled up the cable and crimped the
ends at locations B and C. I tightened the turnbuckle and then crimped the sleeves
at A and D. After that I just cut out the turnbuckle to be used someplace
else. My question is to you all out there flying your Air Campers. Will these
cables need to be retightened over time or is it a set it and forget it kinda
thing?
