Heh, heh... I think the Pietenpol crowd just grabs what we were wearing yesterday,
gives it the sniff test, and if it passes- we throw it on and go. If not,
grab the cleanest pair of jeans in the stack, plus a Piet-themed tee shirt, and
wrinkles are about the last thing we are concerned about. Matter of fact, a
little dab of Aeroshell 50 on the shirt and the slightest hint of avgas where
it got wiped off on the jeans after sumping the fuel tank for water, actually
adds to that "here comes a pilot" sensation when we walk into the FBO or the cafe.
I've tried packing my suitcases logically, but gave up years ago after I would
open my suitcase at the destination and the airline baggage handlers and TSA had
it all looking like a scrambled mess anyway.
