| Subject: | April 1931 Modern Mechanics and Inventions for a collector |
I have read many places on the web that the Air Camper plans were first published
in the 1932 Flying and Glider Manual but that's not correct as they were first
published in 4 parts in the April thru July 1931 issues of Modern Mechanics
and Inventions.
The early issues of this magazine were packed full of plans and technical articles
for aircraft builders until sometime in 1933 when the CAA and most states
changed the rules and homebuilding of aircraft ground to a halt.
After the 1932 FGM on Ebay was purchased only a few hours after I posted notice
here I sincerely hope it went to a Pietenpol fan. Yesterday a copy of the April
1931 issue went on Ebay so I hope one of you collectors can get it as I already
have copies of the original issues.
