Goes a lot faster, and more consistent coverage. Just get a ty-rap or zip tie to secure one end of the tubing to the brush handle so the end of it points onto the brush bristles and the other end goes on the nipple of the oil can. You can brush away with one hand and squeeze the oil can handle as required to flow varnish onto the brush as you go. Periodic refills of the oil can are necessary, but at least you're not having to dip the brush into the can of varnish and give it a wipe time after time after time. Worth a try (it's cheap enough), and some mineral spirits cleans things up when you're done. You can also add some mineral spirits to the varnish to thin it out a little so it'll flow out and soak into the wood quicker and easier. Again, worth experimenting with depending on the temperature you're trying to work in. -------- Oscar Zuniga Medford, OR Air Camper NX41CC "Scout" A75 power, 72x36 Culver prop Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=491681#491681 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message pietenpol-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Pietenpol-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/pietenpol-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/pietenpol-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
