Well I'm not sold on that configuration but that's the beauty of E-AB. I much
prefer the setup that most tandem seat aircraft use which is a rod linkage between
the throttle levers and a cable from the front lever to the carb. The attached
pic is of a J3 Cub. Using proper construction procedures I feel the risk
of a disconnect as you describe is minimal. Plus trying to manipulate a broken
cable as suggested and fly the plane is going to be difficult at best. I'd
rather fly to a suitable airport/field, set up for an approach and kill the
engine by shutting the fuel off once the landing is assured. YMMV....
