Folks
Having a bit of trouble with the alternator belt on my PA28-140. It has an
Electrodelta(Chrysler) alternator and an 0320E2A. The belt says F4340
37B19774-341 1:N:12:2. As far as I can tell, it is a stock alternator belt for
this
engine/alternator, but it is shorter than I'd like. When properly adjusted,
I have essentially no more room left to adjust the belt. The belt is not very
old, and should not have stretched that much, so I am thinking that I should
try to find a belt that is the same style, but is an inch or so shorter. Of
course, I can order one, but the Lycoming rep is on holiday break, and none of
the suppliers know anything about these belts, just their part numbers.
Anybody familiar with the proper part number??
Thanks
Jim Nice
