How were you taught to put the gear down when performing an ILS approach?
for example gear down on localizer established or glideslope interception,
or other.
I've seen people do it both ways and would like to hear of your experiences
or logic.
What are your thoughts for/against either way?

Well, I was TAUGHT to put the gear down and slow to approach speed (90 
kts) at the IAP.
