--> Pitts-List message posted by: Quinten R Graber <buschray@juno.com> I'm workin on building an s1s and started building on the ribs. I'm building them over top of my full scale plans and I got one built and did some measuring an come ta find out that my spar slots were to far apart. The plans I built them off of are 1-435 rev F, which says redrawn to correct rib contour. What is the deal? the plans show that from front spar to rear spar is 19.5 in. but it measures bout a quarter inch more. I'm planning on building the aileron ribs from plan 1-438 (S1T) ta use with my symmetrical ailerons. One other thing I was reading a magazine article on a Pitts an they said something about an AD on the lower wing attatch points on the fuselage needing to be made of a thicker metal or something. Is this something I need to modify on mine bein I am using some older plans or not? Quinten Graber Pitts S1S The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
