When I tried this the first time I got an error message telling me that my email was not set up properly. I tried several more times but more of the same messages. Signed off of the email and signed back on and bingo it not only worked but sent out all of the other attempts too in spite of me deleting them after each failure to launch. My advice for first timers is to add the Matronics address to the email contact list and then sign out and then sign back on before you make your first attempt to send a test. How about some "non-test" msg content? Like flying trips over the holidays, what people are working on. Ray, where are you? As for me: - the plane has been in the hangar way too long (but did see it when I picked up the xmas tree) - our son is freshman at Lawrence University (interesting because it's 15 miles from Oshkosh!!!) - working too much at LifeSize which was bought by Logitech a year ago - no RV trips lately - basically been a slug - bought a downtown condo in Austin (... so who wants to visit ...?) So let the harassment start ;). -Casey ________________________________ Message 20 ____________________________________ Time: 04:33:54 PM PST US Subject: Pulsar-List: Cross-Wind Component allowed for Pulsar I From: "Alex Kozloff" Hey Gang: Per Casey's request, this is also a test and request for real information. After 16 months of rebuilding,(New Home-built Composite Landing Gear, New Gear Box Ratio, Rebuilt 582 engine, Thinner Propeller, etc, etc.) Pulsar I N190AK has taken to the sky; but my test pilot won't release me for solo flight until I make some better landings. Today at SZP, it was blowing 20 Knots varying from 30 to 45 degrees from the right side of runway 4; so we're not going up today. 1. What is the maximum cross wind the Pulsar can take? 2. What is the pattern speed and final approach speed recommended? (My instructor had me at 70 Knots in the pattern and 60 Knots on final which seemed to me to be 10 Knots too fast). Waiting breathlessly for any comments and suggestions. -- Alex Kozloff P.O. Flew a total of 250 mi to Jean, NV for a prime rib breakfast at a casino, a n annual ride for Big Bear pilots to start the New Year. Plane flew fast, outside temps were down around 30F or maybe that=B9s why I had the throttle advanced, as it was cold inside. After landing at home, I was checking plane over and discovered that an access cover I had under the left wing was gone. Just a 3 1/2=B2 hole. I had done work on the wing and I swear the cover was in place but it was gone. The plane would probably have gone faster with it in place. Or maybe I should take the one off the other side and go even better? Am always learning something. For those that dig a little further there are many additional features that exist far and above those provided at pulsar-builders@caseyk.org. Just remember that mail will now be addressed to: pulsar-list@matronics.com BTW, the old list is still operational, but it should be taken down today so please don't use it anymore. -Casey ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message pulsar-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Pulsar-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/pulsar-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/pulsar-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
