Are you using only a master switch or a combination of a master switch and a solenoid? Is a solenoid necessary to handke the load of the accessories or is there a switch that can handle the load? The aerodesign schematic in the Engine Installation Manual shows only a mas ter switch. Thanks Bill Clement ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 10:14:50 AM PST US Subject: Re: Pulsar-List: master switch From: Larry Wheat All depends on what the load is. On my airplane with the solidstate equipment, the total current draw is very low. Somewhere around 6 amps with everything on and operating, including the ignition. I am using a 20A rocker(lit) with associate ckt bkr. I have used this setup before and have had no problems. I was leaning towards a Sonex or a Zenith 650 both of which are metal. How difficult is the build process with fiberglass? Also, would it be feasible to use a VW engine? Any other insight will be appreciated.
