On the Series one the oil rad is mounted in front of the coolant rad. I put a piece of rigid plastic between the two covering up to 1/3 of the main rad and most of the oil rad. It=99s crude but it works well enough. Not that I have flown for months now. Our grass airstrip has been waterlogged for several months and I have a couple of mis-firing cylinders to sort. I know the problem and it=99s simple to fix, I just cant be bothered to go and do it in the cold wet weather when I know I cant fly! This was with 22 degree F OAT. I was considering stuffing a piece of foam in one of the wing root openings to block the air flow to one of the radiators to bring the temps up in the plane. Right now the hot coolant flows through a heater core in the cabin before it goes to the two wing roots. Cylinder head temps are in the 170 degree range. Has anyone else done this?
