Then machined the rod down to 5/8 to go through the yoke and threaded the end past the yoke, then welded the rod in place. I am hoping this will work well. Without the collar the entire pin and weld is visible. I also found that the cast aluminum yoke had stretched and was developing excessive play. Fortunately I have a spare aluminum yoke. Dennis.
