We use the Jeffco 9700 all the time for both 100LL and Jet fuel tanks. Never an
issue.

I went through the process, and would like to encourage you to consider just
 rebuilding the existing lower cowl.  I had to also rebuild the firewall and
 repair the bottom of the fuselage where it was damaged by the nose wheel fo
lding back.  It was a slow process, but my pulsar is flying again and worth t
he effort.
