Subject: Pulsar-List: High Compression Pistons


I had them put in my rebuilt engine by Mississippi South, a Rotax
engine rebuilder.  I really like the power I have.  With a Prince
power tip I can fly at 155 mph true at about 5000 rpms in my XP.

The only comparison that I can make is last year, Austin Moses and I
went flying (he has an 80 HP XP with a Prince power tip), his comment
was that I could climb out a lot faster than he could.  My plane is
quite a bit heavier than his and I throttled back a little.

I have about 120 hrs on the engine with no problems.

I am a long time user of this product both on an HP travelmate, and my
IPad.  Beware if you are a user because TFR'S are not being
downloaded!  When you update before a flight it shows that they are
downloaded, but cross checking over several day with Duat does not
show the Idaho or Montana fire related TFR'S .

I am giving up on this product and going to Foreflight, so far so good.
