We will be attending, for the first time, and hope we get the chance to talk with other Pulsar owners. I think Aircraft Spruce has something similar to Plexiglas scratch remover kit. I will give it a try, otherwise, I'll call a Plexiglas supplier and hope that helps. On another note, Larry, just wondering why you were selling your P3? I saw your videos on you tube. Great stuff!! Learning a lot from all of you. Thanks. Can't wait to get my bird in the air!! May be you could hope over to KTRM. I am presently working on installing a new alternator on my Pulsar III. At 70 yrs young I just didnt feel comfortable flying it. The new owner is MUCH younger and better equipped mentally than I am. I now am the proud owner of a Jabiru 250 (which is what I was working toward in the first place) and am in a much better place. We are going to deliver the plane to Minnesota and the weather is NOT cooperating. The new owner is getting ansy about getting his new charge, I dont blame him a bit, I would be too. Anyway it will eventually get there and a new adventure begins. I looked at this Pulsar some time back. The builder did not intent to fly it, although he might have said he did. He loved the building and his friends at the airport. It looked to me that the construction was good although he added rear windows and did not install them correctly. They should have been flush instead of mounted on the inside. If this is not the Pulsar I saw disregard my comments. >> >> Clarke Coulter >> N452PC Pulsar XP >> >> >> On Thu, 27 Mar 2014 16:09:10 -0700 >> "Chillyz" wrote: >>> Hello everyone, >>> I'm a Pulsar 3 owner/builder and a newbie to the group. I was doing some research online and came across this site sometime ago. Decided I needed some help with different stages of my build and wanted everyone's opinion/suggestion. Bought my Pulsar from a gentleman who had cancer and past away back in 2008. Transported the aircraft from Oregon to my home in Poway, California. I've been pretty isolated on building my craft but I'm not unfamiliar to fiberglass and composite work. I'm about 80-85% complete. However, Had an unfortunate mishap that caused major scrapes and deep scratches on various areas of the canopy. I tried to repair the deep scrapes but seem to have made it worse by using fine wet/dry sandpaper. Any suggestions? Can plexiglass be smoothed out and scratches removed? Ideas would be deeply appreciated.
