I dont know the exact details of the beef up. But as Mike indicated, messing with the design can make for regrets in added weight and insufficient strength improvement.. I have the spec somewhere. The spars were also made for t he load. Sonya studied the design and and came up with a way to beef up the original structure but it had to be done before assembly started. You coul d not take a finished aircraft and retro fit her mods. He would like to convert to toe brakes and also install brakes for his instructor. I know we have owners that have done one or both. I sure would like pictures of your installations. You=99ll find my toe brake retrofitutilizes the original rudder pedals. Mine only cover the left seat, easily adapted for the right.
