--> Rocket-List message posted by: "Jim Stone" <jrstone@insightbb.com> Does anyone know of a good source for new or used flywheel and starter rings. Don George in MCO has them made and sells them "new" for 350.00. Progressive Air Services offers a "new Superior" brand unit for 417.67. Both will do the job, just didn't want to pay so much for one. Any comments welcomed. Jim Stone HRII

Also, some have terminals for electric prop deicing. There are lots and lots of combinations. Also check e-bay.

--> Rocket-List message posted by: "Loren Harmon" <landsharmon@tc3net.com> I believe that the guy who makes them for Don George is Dick Waters. His phone number is 800 366-4746. I don't know how much he gets for them, but he provided a new one with a used engine I bought from him. From: "David.vonLinsowe" <David.vonLinsowe@delphi.com>
--> Rocket-List message posted by: "David.vonLinsowe" <David.vonLinsowe@delphi.com> From experience I had with a Pitts canopy I would highly recommend the Micro Mesh system then finish off with Finish 2001 in the bright green and orange bottle. I went from sanding with 320 wet-or-dry all through Micro Mesh's steps. It turned out nice, but the Finish 2001 really did the trick. I use the Finish 2001 all the time on the RV canopy for cleaning and de-hazing and I haven't found anything that works as well! It does polish, but I also think it somehow fills small scratches so they can't be seen at all. It makes the Plexiglas invisible. The problem I have now is nose prints on the canopy. People can't tell where the canopy is so they run into it with their nose... Dave stepsFrom: P M Condon <pcondon@mitre.org> Subject: Rocket-List: Polishing Canopy and scratch removal Question --> Rocket-List message posted by: P M Condon <pcondon@mitre.org> What have RV-ers been using to polish canopies? I have been using Plexus with good results as a cleaner/polisher. I need to polish out some micro fine scratches so I am wondering what others are using to do this? At the AOPA convention this weekend I purchased a Flitz polishing kit.....I am not thrilled with the results on plastic. I realize that micro-mesh and other similar companies have a product...I am wondering what else is out there that polishes out micro scratches and all that. There are canopies on RV's at Oshkosh that look like Todd just took them out of the mold-there so clean and scratch free... **************************************************************************************** Note: The information contained in this message may be privileged and confidential and thus protected from disclosure.
