Subject: | MT Propeller group buy |
--> Rocket-List message posted by: LesDrag@aol.com
Hi All,
The group buy for the 3 blade MT Propeller is still in process. I need to
have 16 firm orders, so I can place one order for the group.
I am also accepting names from people that are interested in a future group
buy.
I have one person who would be interested in a group buy in one or two years
from now.
The following MT standard colors are available on this group buy at no
additional charge:
White, Red, Gray, Black and Yellow.
One of the group buy people expressed an interest in black blades with yellow
tips (Spinner color still undecided.). This would look really sharp. I
delivered a 3 blade propeller to a Lancair customer (white aircraft) that had a
black spinner and black blades with red tips. Really nice looking, although the
red tips didn't seem to contrast enough with the black blade.
Dave Howe has the MTV-9 propeller with gray blades and white tips. This
looks very nice. GRE blades are preferred if you will be flying IFR in wet
weather.
The two propeller options for the group buy are:
Standard Rocket propeller - MTV-9-B/198-52 propeller including spinner.
Current price would be $8,500 completely assembled FBO Southern California.
Shipping the assembled propeller to the individual customer would be extra.
Aerobatic Rocket propeller - MTV-9-B-C/C198-52 propeller including spinner.
Current price would be $9,100 (NEW PRICE) completely assembled FBO Southern
California.
Shipping the assembled propeller to the individual customer would be extra.

I think Archie was referring to powerplant technology. That's truly still in
the dark ages; not the technology but what the FAA would allow in certified
operations. It took European companies to put diesel engines in aircraft,
not the US. We could have done it ages ago because we have the brains and
the brawn but we also have a blind spot on who we put in charge of our
lives. That's what stinks. Perhaps we will do better in future. It won't
unless you vote and if you vote you should see to it that the honest guy
gets the job.
