Are they rebuilt like his alternators? 190$ sounds a lot better than 550 for the B&C. If you have AutoCAD or something that will read it, I made a drawing of a simple adapter that allows the use of a Toyota or Honda starter. Material is 5 x 5 x .25 alum angle. Can be done on a drill press, but a milling machine with digital readout is best. A bit of welding or bolting also. Junkyard starter $20-50. Metal $2-5. Labor Free Total About $25-60. If anyone has a good source, and maybe photos of your install? A few small comments, and I am innundated with replies. Hmmmmmmmmmm......... Perhaps I should sell the plans, or make a run of the adapters? Nah! I am not like that. Anyone that has been to one of my seminars knows how I feel about the gouging, and lack of technology coming from the aircraft engine manufacturers. Within the next day or so, will post the AutoCAD file on this site.
