Hi,
You may know of this site but just in case... you are about ready to
need flying weather info.   (click on the airport ID and get lots of
info about the airport etc)

This web site shows current METARs and TAFs decoded and presented in the
best compact format I have seen.  

The default is California airports, but you can easily customize it to
show all airports within a  radius of your home field.

It was written and is maintained by Dan Checkoway, a most capable RV
builder.

It is well worth a look.
