Spruce has them for 1200.00, but, this includes the connector of course, so I guess it's worth it. A year ago or so they were just 300. WTFO??? I picked one up used for 100 bucks, the salvage guy said it was in great shape except for some minor surface corrosion. It was junk. Heavy corrosion, one of the mounting holes had a broken off screw stuck in it. He charged me 18.00 for COD, which I didn't ask for then it cost me 8 more to send it back. Only the 100.00 was refunded. I don't recommend doing business with him. BTW, his name is Joe Jenkins in Wyoming Delaware. Thanks, Jim Stone ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 04:17:47 PM PST US From: Dan Unger Subject: Re: Rocket-List: Pitot tube --> Rocket-List message posted by: Dan Unger I just replaced the pitot tube on my Cessna 180, mounting bracket through the tip plus the heating element and spent half as much as Spruce...try Yingling for the parts they advertise in Trade-a-Plane.... About a year ago, I bought one for considerably less. Probe was new in the box. http://www.cent-air.com/ Matt Finkelstein on 3/16/05 7:17 PM, Dan Unger at danunger@direcway.com wrote: > --> Rocket-List message posted by: Dan Unger > > I just replaced the pitot tube on my Cessna 180, mounting bracket through > the tip plus the heating element and spent half as much as Spruce...try > Yingling for the parts they advertise in Trade-a-Plane.... > > Dan > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jim Stone" > To: > Subject: Rocket-List: Pitot tube > > >> --> Rocket-List message posted by: "Jim Stone" >> >> Has anyone found a source for the AN5812 pitot tube. >> >> Spruce has them for 1200.00, but, this includes the connector of course, >> so I guess it's worth it. >> >> A year ago or so they were just 300.
