I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these prop governors. I've
got one installed on my IO-540, but haven't yet run it. It has the
advantage of being a few pounds lighter than the standard one and is 2
inches shorter, improving my inlet ducting a lot.

Ditto Gary's comments about the Jihostroj being lighter and more compact
than others such as the McCauley. Been running one for almost 500 hours on
my IO-360 RV-7. No complaints!
That said, it's one of the few components on my plane which require *metric*
tools...

I think this is the unit Mark Frederick sells. I have one it works as
expected.
I have about 250 hours on the unit.
