As posted before, my father, Kevin has spent the past few years building a Harman Rocket II and then atempting to get it approved by the CAA & PFA as kit built aircraft which he can service. The PFA have been very cautious as the rocket pushes the envelope for performance for a home built aircraft in the UK, but after a lot of hard work i have some good news in that we have a permit for test flying. This is somewhat restricted at the moment - 250hp, 2575rmp, 1800lbs weight, 35miles from airfield etc, no areos and even a parachute is advised, but soon the first UK rocket will take off ! I don't know if it will be this side of Christmas or not as the plane was finished at a friends farm strip with a mere 900-1000' grass strip that due to some good ol' english weather gets boggy at times, so ideal conditions will be few and far between, but i'll let you know when it does happen. Thanks for all the help guys, Lee http://www.bondedcomponents.co.uk/rocket/ ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:38:03 AM PST US From: "Tom Gummo" Subject: Re: Rocket-List: UK Rocket info Fly SAFE.
