Was the F1 tail unique in its structural design in size or airfoil shape
such that RV/HR parts cannot duplicate?

I'm not exactly sure what the differences are between the RV/HR/F1 tails but
my F1 tail was built with enough issues that I considered rebuilding it. As
I tore it appart I realized that the skeleton was fine (structurally) but I
ended up needing to scratch build replacement skins. I fabbed the skins
myself using some equipment at one of our local sheet metal fab shops and
with the assistance of a few of the local EAA folks and a tech advisor I
reassembled the tail. I now have a straight and true tail that I am much
happier with from both structural and asthetic perspectives.
