Smokey, Is yours the SW911N model? It has a hooked end on the blade. Here's a link for one at a reasonable price. _http://www.botachtactical.com/swfirresknif1.html_ (http://www.botachtactical.com/swfirresknif1.html) The blade obviously locks in place when open. What is your estimation of the blade folding when being used to break a canopy? Would a fixed blade breaker tool be better? Thanks, Stan Sutterfield Do not archive (http://www.bladehq.com/item--Smith-Wesson-First--4301)

The SW911 actually has a breaker on the opposite end of the tool. It is a c arbide bullet shaped bit that is spring loaded. When you flip the switch it pops out and you punch the hole with it, then open the blade and start cut ting. I tried it on an old RV4 canopy and it punched a large hole first try . It's designed for glass so thin plexiglass is cake. - Smokey --- On Sat, 6/5/10, Speedy11@aol.com <Speedy11@aol.com> wrote: From: Speedy11@aol.com <Speedy11@aol.com> Subject: Rocket-List: Re: SW911 Smokey, Is yours the SW911N model?- It has a hooked end on the blade. After many inquiries about the SW 911, I found a great comparison site that really identifies and shows video of them in action. - Don't leave home without one :) - Smokey HR2 - - http://www.squidoo.com/smithandwessonrescueknives=0A=0A=0A
