-On Rocket pre-buy inspections I always check, along with all the other s
tandard RV items:-
The rudder and elevator skin for cracks between the rivets. While you're ba
ck there check the tightness of the hinge attach nuts on the elevator and r
udder. Also:

Make sure to inspect the lower engine mount tubes carefully for cracks at t
he gear attach points. Also the Flap pushrod ends for tightness and pushrod
s bent or not. Exhaust pipes for cracks (find more on Rockets than RV's) I
have never found them on a Vetterman, but always check. Questions?
