    Subject: Bendix Mags, Ground Point
    From: "viperpilot" <nsage86@comcast.net>
I had my Bendix mags overhauled following a prop strike. The overhauled mags came back with "ring-and-post" connections to replace the "cigarette" connections I had previously. (photo attached) The left magneto has a "retard" post to which I assume my "shower of sparks" output attaches. Both mags have a pretty evident post to which I plan to attach the core of the P-lead wire from my magneto switches (I have two magneto switches instead of a single key-operated starter switch.) I have wired the magneto switches as recommended by Bob Nuckels in his book, option "B". The Question: Where does the SHIELD part of the wire get connected to the magneto to ground it? The obvious point would be the gold-colored screw to the right and below the left mag (and the similar screw to the left and below the right mag). Does anyone have a similar setup with Bendix mags? Please advise. Thanks, Randy Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=392863#392863 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/img_2611_209.jpg
