The Rocket I look after recently suffered some flutter in the tailplane during a high speed descent and broke the outboard RH hinge. On removing the elevators it was found that the tailplane rear spar was badly cracked in this area. The work is being done remotely by another NZ A&P so I do not know all the knarly details other than that he is trying to source some spars... Mine is an F1, but I would be interested know if the cracks show any signs of age please mate. With the plans it's relatively straightforward.
