I will soon be putting a 912S in my Zenith 701. I am wondering what is the best strategy for buying a new engine? Can you get discounts from suppliers? Are there show specials at Airventure? Who has the best prices for a new engine? George

    From: "Tommy Walker" <twalker@cableone.net>
--> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: "Tommy Walker" <twalker@cableone.net> Hello Rotax Listers, I am wondering how to sort through the service bulletins, etc. on the Rotax website to find which ones are applicable to my Rotax 912ULS. I bought it in November 2004 and it's still in the crate. The serial number is 5643150. Is there a way to search the Rotax web site and just pull information that would be specific to engines built after my serial number? It was a little easier to do with my old Continental engine. The AD's were always clear as to which engines were affected. The Rotax web site doesn't appear quite as friendly. Any help would be appreciated. What I want to do is print out all the Service Documents that pertain to my engine. Thanks and Do Not Archive. The president of Zenith in Mexico, MO (not CH) told me that they basically sold the engine for what it cost them to buy it. I'm sure there is some markup involved, but you can probably check it out online by price comparisons.... --> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: "george may" <gfmjr_20@hotmail.com> George-- Rotax are pretty much fair traded with very little discounting on new engines. At least that is what I found when I bought mine in late 2004. The South Mississippi dealer was probably the best price(saved maybe 4-500 dollars) but they wanted full payment up front. Since most all have the same price, the next thing I looked for was service and support. I ended up purchasing from Lockwood. They have been responsive and helpful with questionsI've had. Just another opinion George May 601XL, 912s >From: george.mueller@aurora.org >To: rotaxengines-list@matronics.com >Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Deals >Date: Wed, 1 Feb 2006 08:22:36 -0600 > > >I will soon be putting a 912S in my Zenith 701.
