It has quite a comprehensive article on fitting a c/s prop to a Europa. It is some 3-4years old I think. http://www.crixbinfield.freeserve.co.uk/Mods/rospeller.htm Malcolm Ferguson -- ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 04:46:13 AM PST US Subject: RotaxEngines-List: Re: No Title From: "Ivor Phillips" --> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: "Ivor Phillips" Europa USA produced a intercooler kit for the 914 a couple of years ago I beleave it was Bob Berube who design it, Europa 914 Ivor Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=9293#9293 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/mod___105.pdf ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 05:22:34 AM PST US From: Thom Riddle Subject: Re: RotaxEngines-List: Manifold pressure gauge --> RotaxEngines-List message posted by: Thom Riddle John, It sounds to me like your Manifold Pressure gauge just needs to be hooked up correctly. It should connect to the intake manifold downstream from the carburetor and should NOT be comparing anything to anything else. It is an absolute pressure gauge. When the engine is not running it should read atmospheric pressure, 29.92" or whatever AWOS says is the current barometric pressure. When running it will read much lower. At idle it will be very low and at full power it should be up aroun 27-28" at low altitudes and decrease as you climb higher. Hes got 40+ years in aviation engines and just retired. Up until recently his company has been doing work on unmanned planes for the dept. of defense and when he closed down, he had several new and nearly new 912S's and a couple of 914F's engines for sale. Anyway, youre welcome to send him an email and see if he has any left. He had some guys that wanted to buy the entire lot, but hopefully hes got one laying around somewhere! By the way, I found him to be extremely trustworthy and really knowledgeable. I'm not sure he wants his email posted where bots can pick it up, so if you're interested, reply back to me here and let me know what your email is, and I'll send it directly to you.
