This information is given in paragraph 10.1.1.1 in the Rotax 912 Series
Operator's Manual which is available for download at
http://www.rotax-aircraft-engines.com/aircraft/aircraft.nsf/index?
Openpage
It does not matter whose prop you are using or whether it is a manually
adjustable or CS prop. The combination of MP and RPM is what matters.

I was told that the 2 stroke Pennzoil has about a one year shelf life for
use in a Rotax. You can tell if the oil is old because the sides of the
plastic bottles will cave in a little. Has anyone heard of this?
Seems the bottles would cave in, in cool weather, and bulge out in warm
weather. Does it have something to do with the temperature of the oil when it
is
bottled. Im sure heat and cold would effect the bottle no matter how old. Or
am I on the wrong track. What is age supposed to do to it ? Why dont they
have a notice of the shelf life on it?

I guess I better go check my Crown Royal bottle to make sure it hasn't caved
in Yet don't want that shelf life expiring on me, eh
I wouldn't think any oil would expire no more than My Crown Royal would don't
worry about it use it if you got it or send it to me I'll use it and send you
the results

I've got half a case that is slightly over 2 years old. Didn't see any
caving. And like the Crown Royal, looks like it is aging quite nicely.
