Now I'm flying an Allegro 2000 S-LSA. What about you? This short period of time during cold start-up is sufficient time to coat the exhaust outlet with soot. It is recommended not to run the enricher any longer than necessary. Even on the coldest starts, you should be able to close the enricher within 30 seconds or so by adding throttle as you decrease enricher. This does not necessarily mean that the carbs are not set up correctly but even if they are the soot is a normal consequence of correct starting procedure. It runs rough with the enrichener, so I normally get it out as soon as possible. Thanks!
